Here is a list of things you will have to do when you reach here.
1) Visit the International Center with you immigration documents (Passport, I-95, I-20) Also carry your admission letter.

2) Open a bank account either at Suntrust in the FSU Main Campus or FSU-CU down on Woodward street. This way you can deposit your travellers cheques an drafts and use bank cheques to pay for impending expenses. Also, you will receive a checkcard that also doubles up as a sort of Credit card.
Suntrust is next to FSU bookstore and the same building as the Parking Garage in Main Campus.

3) Visit the Thagard health center with your completely filled health form.

4) Buy health insurance, from the insurance company in Thagard, or other companies as advised by your seniors.
5) Get an FSU card from the FSU card services center next to SunTrust and Bills book store.

6) If you already have departmental funding, take your funding papers along with your immigration documents
and passport to the social security office and get a social security number.
