1994 The Shewell Award, American Society for Quality Control, Chemical and Process Industries Division, for best research paper and presentation, “Process Capability Studies and Indices: Some Fundamental Issues” (co-author: John S. Ramberg).

 

1994 The Cecil C. Craig Award, American Society for Quality Control, Automotive Division, for “Process Capability Indices: Just Say NO!” (co-author: John S. Ramberg) which was judged as a significant contribution to the advancement of quality control in the automotive industry.

 

1992 Recognized by the student chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineering one of their Most Valuable Professors (MVPs).

 

1991 The Ellis R. Ott Foundation Award for the best research paper in the area of quality improvement, “Top Ten Triumphs and Tragedies of Genichi Taguchi” (co-author: John S. Ramberg).
