I acknowledge that I understand the following information:
1. GRADING
- Homework - 14%
- Exams (4) - 59%
- Quizzes, In-class Assignments - 17%
- Project - 8%
- Other - 2%
2. HOMEWORK
- Each homework assignment will be posted on the EML3004C Homework Web Page at least 4 days before the assigment is due.
- Each homework assignment must be handed in within the first 10 minutes of class on the day that it is due.
- NO CREDIT will be given for late homework. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Any student caught/seen copying a problem set will receive an automatic 1 letter-grade reduction in the final grade.
3. QUIZZES / IN-CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
- Attendance is mandatory, and will be determined by quizzes and in-class assignments.
- More than 4 ABSENCES will result in an "F" grade for the course.
- A quiz may be given during each class lecture.
- On days when a quiz is not given, there may be an in-class assignment.
- There will be NO MAKEUPs for missed quizzes.

4. PROJECT
- All students will be required to complete a design project.
- Periodic progress reports, sketches, and solved problems must be submitted.
5. EXAMS
- In addition to quizzes, there will be 3 in-class exams. No makeup exams will be given.
- All exams are closed book; formula sheets and thermodynamic tables will be provided.
- There will be a total of 4 in-class exams:
- Exam #1 - 8%
- Exam #2 - 17%
- Exam #3 - 17%
- Exam #4 - 17%
6. OTHER
- A portion of your grade will be determined by class participation, professionalism, and effort.
- This portion of your grade is determined by the professor.
