9/30/04: For those students who missed the last lecture on Thursday (9/30/04), note that we have deduced the formula of the built-in potential in a p-n junction (equation 5.10 in the textbook) and we have computed the width W of the depletion region. The analysis in the class follows closely the analysis presented in section 5.2.2. in the textbook (pp. 210-214).

HW2 is due on Thursday, 9/23 due to the storm. However, you will receive HW3 on Tuesday 9/21.

HW1 is due on Tuesday, 9/14 due to the storm. However, you will receive HW2 on Thursday 9/9.

The final exam will be on Wednesday, December 8, from 7:30-9:30am.
