Please do not send me MS Word documents, Wordperfect, PDF, etcetera. Convert them to plain text, (which may be listed as space delimited text or ASCII on the Save As.. menu), and send them that way. Or simply paste it into the body of your message.
Please do not send me HTML or both text and HTML. In Netscape, go into Edit / Preferences / Mail / Messages and check that sending HTML is not checked.
Please include plain text in the body of your message by pasting it in. On the other hand, attach binaries, (in particular scanned homeworks, your picture, etcetera), as attachments.
You will want to scan homework as greyscale (not monochrome) at 100 dots per inch (not 300 or so) and save them as .gif files. (You may have to go into ``Advanced'' to select those settings.) Scan in color only if really needed. If you cannot save to .gif files, save to .jpg files (fair quality/about 75%/about 4).
Please do not include pictures or vcf files in your signature.
