CODE OF CONDUCT

Purpose

The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to provide information about Group’s policies regarding team member’s conduct and discipline.  This outlines each team member’s roles and responsibilities, informal discipline procedures, and other pertinent information.

Roles and Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of each team member to always act with honesty, integrity, and in a professional manner to promote a successful working environment in which all ideas can be expressed.

Each team member will complete their assigned tasks by the specified deadline.  This is a team project and every effort will be made to work together as a team and ensure all deliverables are met.

All team members will check their FSU email account twice daily.  Email address and phone number of all team members have been delivered to all members.

Meetings between team members will be every Tuesday and Thursday at specified times.  All team members will be present either in person or by teleconference unless advance notice has been given to all team members.

Decision making regarding the progression of the project is the equal responsibility of all team members.  No team member will be left out of a design concept phase and all team members will have input without ridicule.  The decision making process will include:  defining the problem, collecting data, analyzing the problem and data, developing solutions, trial and final implementation.

Team members have been assigned specific roles as follows:

Team Leader - Judy Biddle - It is the responsibility of the team leader to assign tasks and delegate the workload accordingly.  The team leader will also be responsible for communicating directly with the client.

Team Organizer - Timothy Brown - The team organizer is in charge of all documents and maintaining the master folder and website for this project.  He will also be in charge of scheduling meetings, emailing all team members about updates, and filling out the team meeting log sheets.

Treasurer - Christopher Freeborn-Scott - The treasurer will be in charge of the budget and maintaining a record of all expenses.  He will also be in charge of ordering all necessary parts required to build the final product and maintaining the necessary documents.

Task Manager - Dale Bernier - The task manager is responsible for maintaining individual tasks and their schedules.  He will send out deadline reminders and status reports.  If for some reason someone is not able to make their deadline they must contact the task manager immediately so that the workload may be reorganized accordingly.

Discipline

All conflicts between team members will first try to be resolved between the individuals.  If the conflict continues, the team leader will make every effort to resolve the problem.  If the conflict still continues, it will be brought to the instructor.  Every effort will be made to resolve all conflicts as a team effort.

It is the policy of this group to have a zero tolerance for a missed deadline.  Open communication between team members will be maintained to ensure all deadlines are met regardless of who assumes the workload.
