Florida Eta Tau Beta Pi at the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering Established February 29th, 1992 |
In 1885 the Tau Beta Pi association was
created at Lehigh University by Edward H. Williams, Jr. to "mark in a
fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by
distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in
engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of
engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering
colleges".
The Florida Eta chapter at the FAMU / FSU College of
Engineering was founded in February of 1992. Today, Florida Eta
chapter represents the FAMU / FSU College of Engineering's top students
of all departments. The chapter works in the community
volunteering at charities and performing community outreach activities.
