TAU BETA PI Elects Dean Chen as "Eminent Engineer"

Dean Ching-Jen Chen was honored by the Florida Eta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering by selection for membership as an "Eminent Engineer". This recognition is granted to distinguished engineers with international recognition ten years or more after graduation. Dean Chen was cited for his research in laminar and turbulent convection, computational methods in fluid flows, and bio-magnetic fluid dynamics.

Dean Chen joins the late former Dean of the College, Dr. Krishnamurty Karamcheti, as the second Eminent Engineer to have been elected by the Chapter. The presentation was made at Tau Beta Pi's annual initiation and reception on April 9, at which ten students were initiated into the Chapter. Dean Chen delivered the keynote address on "The Status and Future of our College of Engineering".
