Civil Engineering's Spainhour Recognized with the Engineers in Education Award
How appropriate that during National Engineers Week, (February 20-26, 2011) a week set aside to celebrate the contribution of engineers to our society, professional engineers recognize one of their own.
Dr. Lisa Spainhour, Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been recognized by the Big Bend Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society (FES) with the Engineers in Education Award. Dr. Spainhour was presented with her award at the FES - American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) E-Week Banquet, Friday, February 18, 2011, in Tallahassee.
Dr. Kamal Tawfiq, Chair and Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, announced, "Please join me in sending our heartiest congratulations to Dr. Lisa Spainhour for receiving the Florida Engineering Society's prestigious Engineers in Education Award.
