New Research Center Established
The first research center to be established wholly within the College of Engineering was opened this month.
The Florida Advanced Center for Composite Technologies, a State University System Type III center, was established through the efforts of the Department of Industrial Engineering. The Center's purpose is to develop methods for design, modeling, prototyping, fabrication, testing and recycling of composite structures. This total product life-cycle approach will require substantial interdisciplinary collaboration among several academic departments and across universities, industries and economic development organizations.
More information is available on the Center's web site, Florida Advanced Center for Composite Technologies.
