BlackboardIndustrial Engineering Awarded Prize at International Conference
Industrial Engineering's Jan Gou, Richard Liang, Chuck Zhang, and IE chair Ben Wang were awarded the prize for best poster presented at the International Conference on Multiscale Materials Modeling at the University of London, June 17-20. Les Kramer of Lockheed Martin also shared in the prize.
The poster titled "Molecular Dynamic Modeling and Analysis of Interfacial Bonding and Processing for Nanotube Bucky Paper/Epoxy Composites" was selected from over 50 posters presented. According to Chuck Zhang of the IE Department, the poster stood out due to its "uniqueness and the quality of research involved."
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), which is the largest of the seven United Kingdom Research Councils, sponsored the poster contest. EPSRC funds research and postgraduate training in universities and organizations throughout the UK.
