Engineering Student Wins Humanitarian Award

Shelileah Ramsey, a senior Industrial Engineering student, has been chosen the 1998 College of Engineering Student Humanitarian. She is one of seven FSU students honored in an expansion of the annual "President's Humanitarian Awards" program. Ms. Ramsey has been a volunteer tutor at an elementary school and has served food at homeless shelters.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the program. In addition to the Award Certificate, each awardee receives $200 to donate to his community service program. The awards were presented at FSU's Annual Student Leadership Awards Program on April 7.
