Luke Tucker - Baseball, 3.8 GPA (2005-2006)
Earlier this month (November 2006), Luke Tucker and Katherine Ronan, both civil engineering students, were honored by the FSU Department of Athletics at the Golden Torch Gala for the outstanding achievements they made in the classroom.
This year 40% of the FSU student athlete population made the 2006 ACC Honor Roll. In addition to the Honor Roll recognitions, FSU also gives the "Golden Torch Award" to the student athlete from each sport who has achieved the highest Grad Point Average for the previous academic year. This year, two of the Golden Torch Award Winners are Civil Engineering Majors from the College of Engineering.
Both Mr. Tucker and Ms. Ronan were recognized for their individual academic achievements and received their awards at the Sixteenth Annual Torch Gala held November 6, 2006 at the University Center Club Ballroom in Doak Campbell Stadium.
