On 9/15/2008, Dr. Arthur Mutambara was named Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe in a power sharing arrangement with President Robert Mugabe and newly named Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. Dr. Mutambara was a professor of mechanical engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering between 1995 and 1997.
