Civil Engineer Earns Trip to Maui
February 21, 2007 - Yesterday, Danielle Fason was 25 and on track for success as a civil engineer with WilsonMiller, a Naples-based engineering firm with offices in Tallahassee.
Today, she's still 25 and still on track for success, but she's also planning a vacation in Maui. She will go there in September to receive recognition as one of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' 59 New Faces of Engineering 2007.
Fason graduated magna cum laude from FSU and recently became president of the Tallahassee Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers, which named her Young Engineer of the Year in 2006. Fason also supervises the intern program at WilsonMiller's Tallahassee office. Although only a 2003 graduate of the combined FSU and Florida A&M University School of Engineering, Fason already has completed terms as treasurer and secretary for the Tallahassee civil-engineering society.
