BlackboardCollege Receives Grant For ASIC Design Center
Sun Microsystems has awarded Prof. Uwe Meyer-Baese of the College's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department a $50,000 Academic Equipment Grant for the establishment of a "Multipurpose ASIC Design and Training Center". Prof. Meyer-Baese stated that the grant will enable the formation of a state-of-the-art Center for ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) design to be used both in education and also for research projects in the low-power high speed ASIC field.
