BlackboardCivil and Environmental Engineering's Self-Study Report Recognized by ABET
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering's ABET self-study report, known as an SSR, has been selected by ABET to be included in a display featuring well-written recent self-studies at the April 2010 ABET Symposium.
Dr. Gloria Rogers, ABET Inc.'s Managing Director of Professional Services, notified Dr. Reginald Perry of ABET Inc.'s decision by email, March 16, 2010. Dr. Rogers wrote, "We would like to get your permission [...] to put the self-study on display for others to view as examples of well-written documentation. There will be about 20 self-studies on display and we anticipate that this will be a very popular and welcome service at the Symposium."
Dr. Perry, Associate Dean, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, replied to Dr. Rogers that the College would be honored to have Civil's 2009 ABET Self-Study displayed at the upcoming ABET Symposium.
Dr. Kamal Tawfiq, Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, proudly remarks, "The criteria for selection were designed to identify well-written and organized self-studies and according to ABET very few programs were recommended."
