General Requirements for Scholarship Applicants

  • Applicants must be enrolled at the College of Engineering through Florida State University or Florida A&M University during the academic year/semester that their scholarship is to be paid.
  • Applicants must be enrolled for the appropriate number of hours to be considered as full-time students during the year/semester in which the scholarship is to be paid.
  • Unless specified differently for a particular scholarship, applicants must already be engineering students enrolled in any of the engineering disciplines.
  • Unless specified differently for a particular scholarship, applicants are required to have and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Scholarships are usually awarded annually, and they will be paid in two equal amounts: One-half for each semester other than Summer. You may contact the Scholarship Office if you would like to request any changes in the award disbursement.
  • Scholarships will be awarded primarily based on the student's performance rather than financial need.

Application Information

  • Applications will be available online until the deadline.  Paper applications are available in the Office of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Curriculum (Room B223) until the deadline.
  • To apply for this scholarship a qualified student must:
    • Complete and sign the attached form.
    • Submit the form accompanied by a personal statement and resume.  The personal statement must be one page typed, and it should describe the students' achievements, career goals, and reason for applying.
    • Submit additional documentation (if any) required by the scholarship award.
  • For an application to be considered, it must be submitted by 02-28-2013.
  • Scholarship applications may be submitted using this form or in person.
