Florida State University has joined a group of 36 higher education institutions across the country to launch Gig.U: The University Community Next Generation Innovation Project. The group advocates for faster off-campus Internet services.
A StarMetro city bus route runs between FSU and the College of Engineering every ½ hour from 6:50PM–10:10PM Monday thru Friday and Noon–6:00PM on the weekends. As always, this route is free to all current students and employees with a valid FSU ID card.

Teaching and research at the College of Engineering is carried out in 200,000 square-feet of state-of-the-art facilities at the Innovation Park Campus. Over $125 million of research is being conducted under single and multiyear contracts.
The College of Engineering was selected as one of three engineering programs in the US to receive the 2009 Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity, awarded annually since 2005, by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
