Program Educational Objectives

Mission: to prepare graduates for diverse careers in mechanical engineering and related engineering fields.

Goals: to have students with excellent problem solving skills and with a fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering that enables them to continue their education throughout their careers and to function in a diverse work force and society.

Program Educational Objectives:

We expect our graduates in the first five years upon graduation from our program to:

• Excel in industrial, research, or graduate work in mechanical engineering or allied fields;
• Design and analyze devices and products that meet the needs of society, based on sound scientific knowledge and engineering practices;
• Be an engineering professional by engaging in professional activities and continuous self-development;
• Function effectively in increasingly multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments across regional and national borders.
