Anjaneyulu Krothapalli, Don Fuqua Eminent Scholar Chair Professor received his M.S and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University in 1978 and 1979 respectively. A founding member of the department, he joined the college in 1983 and served as the department chairman from 1987- 2002. Prior to joining this program he was on the faculty of the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department at Stanford University from 1981-1983. Dr. Krothapalli's research interests are in experimental fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and propulsion. Dr. Krothapalli is a Fellow of ASME, Associate Fellow of AIAA and a member of APS. He was a National Research Council Senior Research Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center from 1995-1996. He was awarded a NASA Certificate of Recognition for the development of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) in 1987.
