Anjaneyulu Krothapalli,
Don Fuqua Eminent Scholar Chair Professor received his M.S and
Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University in 1978 and 1979
respectively. A founding member of the department, he joined the
college in 1983 and served as the department chairman from 1987-
2002. Prior to joining this program he was on the faculty of the
Aeronautics and Astronautics Department at Stanford University from
1981-1983. Dr. Krothapalli's research interests are in experimental
fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and
propulsion. Dr. Krothapalli is a Fellow of ASME, Associate Fellow of
AIAA and a member of APS. He was a National Research Council Senior
Research Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center from 1995-1996. He was
awarded a NASA Certificate of Recognition for the development of
Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) in 1987.
