Dr. Farhad Booeshaghi, PE, a nationally recognized forensic engineer, joined the
Mechanical Engineering Department as an Adjunct Professor in 2002. He is a senior
engineering consultant with Global Engineering & Scientific Solutions, LLC, a/k/a/
GESS. During his career he has evaluated the design of over 500 products and processes.
His emphasis is in Product and Process Design, Risk, Reliability, Human Factors,
Ergonomics, and Safety Engineering. He leads a team of engineers and technicians
at GESS. His active research areas includes application of structural panel in
green building environmental sustainability, design and development of non-destructive
testing method for damage detection in composites, and noise reduction technology for
actuation and propulsion industries.
Dr. Booeshaghi obtained his PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Florida State
University in 1997. He furthered his education by completing the University of Florida
Biomedical Engineering Certification Program with emphasis in Biomechanics. He holds
Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Alabama. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of
Florida, Alabama, South Carolina and California. He is a registered Model Law Engineer
with NCEES.
