Some Old Preliminary Exams

Note that the exam requirements have changed. In the old days, the students had to solve all questions in all four sections of the exam; not just some questions in only three sections. Also, the solid mechanics and materials sections used to be combined. We mellowed out.

Also note that before fall 2003, this exam was known as the "Qualifying Exam".
