US FAMU Application

Students wishing to apply for admission through Florida A & M University (FAMU) should request an application for the FAMU graduate program directly from the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Administrator. Please E-mail the Graduate Administrator through the E-mail address listed on the Contact Information web page, or sent a request to the mailing address listed on that page if E-mailing is not possible for some reason. Be sure to include your name, E-mail, and physical addresses in the request.

The admission requirements are more stringent than those stated by the university, and students should check them before applying by clicking here.

Some additional information, such as application fees, but not the full admission requirements is available in the application form. Please send all application materials, including the Certification of Eligibility Form to the Graduate Administrator, not the university.

However, GRE and TOEFL scores must be send directly from the testing agency to the university, using the institutional code for the Florida A & M University, which is 5215. Results are not considered official if this is not done.

Once your admission is complete, it will be submitted to the Graduate Committee for review. You can expect a final decision within five to six weeks. Due to the large volume of applications, it is not possible to report on the progress of applications once they have been submitted to the Committee for review. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified via e-mal and/or regular mail. Please be sure to include a valid e-mai address so that we may contact you.

Notification of admission to the graduate program may precede notification of financial assistance.
