BS-MS Curriculum

The table below shows the BS-MS program curriculum. Modifications from the normal senior year are indicated in red. (Students entering the program are strongly encouraged to have completed their liberal studies requirements before they enter their senior year.)

Fourth Year
Fall Semester Term milestones
EML 4550 Engineering Design Methods
Prerequisites: EML 3012C, 3004C.

Student has completed all liberal studies prior to Fall semester.

STA 3032 is required for BS-MS and may be used towards satisfying either the 5th Math Option or a ME Technical Elective requirement.

BS-MS students will need to take two additional Graduate level courses during their fourth, 'senior', year. A "Request to Take Graduate Courses" form, obtained from the student's university's Registrars Office, must be completed.

Students must earn 'B' grade or better in graduate level courses to be applied towards graduate degree. Note that a cumulative GPA of 3.00 must be maintained in graduate level courses.

Prerequisites: EML 3012C, 3014C, 3016C, 3018C. Corequisite: EML 4550

3 Note: EML 4552C must be taken in Spring term immediately following the term enrolled in EML 4551C.

Apply for BS graduation by second week of Spring term classes.

Undergraduate Students registering for graduate level courses are required to complete a "Request to Take Graduate Courses" form, obtained from the student's university's Registrars Office

Take GRE, and apply for Summer admission to Graduate program.
