Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council

Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council
Fall 2003

The Engineering Advisory Council is a select group of executive-level business, community and technology leaders who help shape the research and teaching mission of the College of Engineering. The Council helps encourage the development of needed programs, and provides important links to the community and to the engineering and research needs of our region.

The Council also helps the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and thus the College of Engineering, to strengthen its learning, research, and outreach programs, improve its facilities, expand its base of support, and serve its alumni. In addition, the council advises the ME Department on industry's perspective on engineering education, and helps with the implementation of dual-degree and advanced-degree programs. Council members actively participate in the continual assessment of college progress and the development of college/industry partnerships.
