Student Outcomes

Students graduating from the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) degree programs will have:

  1. ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
  2. an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  3. an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs
  4. an ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams
  5. an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
  6. an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
  7. an ability to communicate effectively
  8. the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context
  9. a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning
  10. a knowledge of contemporary issues
  11. an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice
  12. a knowledge of probability and statistics as applied to electrical and computer engineering
  13. a knowledge of mathematics through differential and integral calculus, basic sciences, and engineering sciences necessary to analyze and design complex electrical and electronics devices, software, and systems containing hardware and software components
  14. a knowledge of advanced mathematics including differential equations, linear algebra and complex variables and discrete mathematics
  15. Students graduating from the BSEE degree program will also have:

  16. a knowledge of electrical engineering applications selected from the communication systems, control systems, digital signal processing, digital systems, electromagnetics, microelectronics, and power systems areas
  17. Students graduating from the BSCpE degree program will also have:

  18. a knowledge of computer science and computer engineering topics including advanced logic design, advanced programming, algorithms, computer architecture, data structures, and operating systems
