Program Educational Objectives

B.S. in Electrical Engineering graduates will:

  1. have a successful career in electrical engineering.
  2. be enrolled in or have completed a M.S. or Ph.D.
  3. have a career in digital systems, DSP, control systems, microelectronics, power systems, or electromagnetics.
  4. participate in either the research, development or application of engineering solutions that have had a positive impact on society.
  5. make contributions to workforce diversity
  6. have shown a commitment to life-long learning and continuous self improvement.
  7. have become proficient in the oral and written communications of their work and ideas.

The objectives will be assessed using the Alumni Survey (AS) and the Advisory Board Survey (ABS). The AS is given every 3 years, and the ABS is administered yearly. The results from these surveys will be presented annually to the faculty (normally at the August retreat) for their consideration and action.
