The academic programs offered through Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) are all fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission of ABET.

The diagram below illustrates the components of our Bachelor of Science (BS) degree programs. The diagram consists of six components which addresses specific ABET EC-2000 requirements. The lines between the components reflect the relationships that exist among the ABET requirements.

Description of diagram:

  1. Program Educational Objectives includes specific BSCpE program educational objectives, BSEE program educational objectives, and the ECE departmental mission.
  2. Curriculum represents the BSCpE curriculum or BSEE curriculum, which outline the courses, lab work, and associated regulations that will lead students to program outcomes and eventually program educational objectives.
  3. Student Outcomes represent degree program outcomes that each student from the BSCpE and BSEE degree programs will have acquired upon graduation.
  4. Stakeholders describes the primary ECE constituent groups.
  5. Assessment describes assessment instruments used to evaluate the BSCpE and BSEE degree program educational objectives, program outcomes, and stakeholder expectations for continual program improvement.
  6. Evaluation describes the process of the systematic evaluation of assessment instruments.
