Information for New and Returning FAMU Graduate Students

Spring 2013 Information for New and Returning FAMU Graduate Students

  1. In addition to your email account, the College of Engineering will send messages to the College's Twitter Feed. So, please follow us at http://twitter.com/famufsucoe.
  2. Health Insurance information is available for eligible FAMU graduate students. All applications are due no later than the first day of classes.
  3. Sign-up for the FAMU Engineering Graduate Students group on the FAMU Graduate Students' Forum, GSF 0001 located on FAMU's Blackboard site: http://famu.blackboard.com. The College will also use this site to post important information to engineering graduate students.
  4. There have been several very important changes to the Tuition Waiver funding process and procedure. A checklist has been developed. Please see the section labeled "Tuition Waiver Funding" below for more information.
  5. Policies and procedures required by FAMU's Office of Graduate Studies and Research will be strictly enforced. Many of these involve the graduation process. You will want to review the FAMU M.S. and Ph.D. Graduation Checklist at least a year prior to your anticipated graduation date.

FAMU Tuition Waiver Funding Request Checklist

The deadline for submission of all documents for Spring 2013 FAMU Tuition Waiver Funding to the Associate Dean's Office is Thursday, 11/8/2012. Please see the FAMU Tuition Waiver Checklist for more information. You must have an engineering user account and password to access this page. Please send an email to studentsupport@eng.fsu.edu if you need access.

FAMU M.S. and Ph.D. Graduation Checklist

Beginning with the Fall 2011 semester, the policies and procedures required by FAMU's Office of Graduate Studies and Research will be strictly enforced. Many of these policies and procedures involve graduation. Therefore, you should very carefully review the information provided on the FAMU Graduation Checklist at least year prior to your anticipated graduation date.
