Civil engineers are also responsible for mitigating negative environmental effects caused by human actions and natural disasters. To this end, the graduate programs in the Civil and Environmental Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is intended to provide students with the scientific and engineering knowledge and skills needed to enhance their background for a successful career of engineering practice or research. Graduate degrees are thus offered in the following areas:

  • Structural Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering
  • Construction Engineering
  • Water Resources Engineering
